Course Reserves & Materials

Materials such as books, textbooks, articles, videos, solution sets, and exams that an instructor has selected for use by students enrolled in a specific course are placed “on reserve” at the UW-Madison Libraries. Physical materials are located at various libraries across campus. Online content, or e-reserves (articles, book chapters, excerpts, etc.), may be accessed both on and off campus.

See the UW-Madison Libraries' Course Reserves & Materials web page to inquire about setting up reserves for your course.

Research Guides for Your Course

Get customized instructional sessions to meet the learning goals of your research assignment and course. Library staff can connect your students to the most appropriate research materials and promote the development of valuable research skills.

The UW Libraries Research Guides tool can be integrated within the Canvas learning management system. This integration allows direct access to Research Guides content from within Canvas. The resources on this site describe how to add UW Libraries’ Research Guides content in Canvas.

See the UW-Madison Libraries Research Guides web page to inquire about your options for adding library instructional content added to your course.

Please note service model changes due to the campus transition to the Canvas Learning Management System.
