What it is

Google Sites, a part of the Google Apps suite, allows you to keep related documents, Web content, and other information in one place, on one site. Google Sites can edited and updated collaboratively and later shared with other students, faculty or the entire world.

Educational Uses

Google Sites can be used to create websites that:

  • Include a wide range of content, including docs, calendars, photos, videos and attachments.
  • Are easy to edit and require no technical expertise.
  • Can be worked on simultaneously by different people in real-time.
  • Can be kept private, shared with other students and/or faculty, or made public.

Google Sites can also be used to create online resumes and portfolios. For more information about ePortfolios, see the ePortfolio home page.
