Desire2Learn (Learn@UW)

   

Basic Overview of Desire2Learn (Learn@UW)
This overview session will help instructors become familiar with how to setup and navigate a course site in Desire2Learn (aka Learn@UW) including how to create news items, how to set up a course's structure and add course materials. The session concludes with how to use the Dropbox to collect assignments.

What's Different in this Version of Moodle?
This session will give a demonstration of the changes and new features Moodle users can expect in the 2015-2016 academic year.

Prerequisite: Familiarity with a previous version of Moodle.

Get one-on-one help from Moodle experts and start the new semester off right. Bring your tough questions and work on your course with help right there when you need it. This is a great opportunity to set up your gradebook and improve your quizzes.

Teaching with Web Conferencing
This session will review how to create a Blackboard Collaborate web conference session, invite students and non-students, change default settings, use the various tools (white board, application sharing) and create break-out rooms. The session will also cover how to use video, audio, chat and polls to interact with and get feedback from your students. If time permits we will discuss some of the uses for the web conferencing tool in both online and face-to-face classes.
